‘Can I join the FILO Community, even though I’m not a streamer?’
There appears to be a strange misconception doing the rounds at the moment which suggests that in order to be a part of the FILO Community, you have to be a streamer of some sort? Well, I can confirm here and now that this is entirely FALSE!
FILO has many streamers, too many some would say, but we have always looked after our streamers, both old and new and I believe that people would say, ‘Oh, if you’re just starting out as a streamer, head over to FILO, they’ll help you grow’. To a degree, this has been true, we’re good to each other as much as we can be, but it’s a misconception to think that FILO is the only place to start your streaming career.
In fact, I’m temporarily placing an embargo on new streamers – let’s say that FILO is currently FULL in terms of streaming. We have great streamers all over the world – both EU and NA based and they are a great asset to the Community – providing entertaining content and great free advertising for FILO as a whole. But you can have too much of a good thing sometimes – and when someone said to me the other day, ‘oh, I don’t stream, so I can’t join FILO’ – I knew I had to address it.
Thanks to all of our current streamers for the support and efforts in promoting the Community – but for the time being, we’re closed to applications from people looking to start out their streaming careers – sorry.
